my trials with ETSY.com

a little background
I am an indie outsider artist...in the respect that I've had no real formal training in the Arts or fine arts. i do however have a degree in Video and radio production. I'll probably add some videos from time to time. just check back often.
since my Dad passed away from a heart attack...I have not been able to stop creating stuff...it's really weird, I always had a connection with creativeness (video) but never made what I (and others) call art...until now. so what does this have to do with Etsy, well i made an account there to sell ...but mostly show off my art.
Etsy...is so hard to master, I read somewhere that you need to post stuff daily to stay in the front page...so people can see your stuff with out having to look up tags n such.
my problem is that I started to do this and I managed to get lots of stuff up....but my post didn't stay up long...by 3 pm all my stuff was gone....what to do?
I post the next day and the same thing...
next I decided to make my store (claraism.etsy.com, and dollz.etsy.com) fronts look good...so I made banners...check them out and let me know what you think...computer stuff is not what I do unless I'm editing a wedding....of course., but i think they came out OK...if any one has suggestions as to enhance my Etsy stores please let me know...here is some of my art i have posted...

A fist full of first(s)

this is my very first blog of what i hope will develope into a weekly event. i am not the best at writing and i apologize now for any pain, strain, or metal fatigue that my grammar, punctuation may cause.
this is also my first website, it started off as a place to showcase my interest in movie making as well as a resource page for just about anything...although the idea was a good one ...in the end it was never finished. too much for me to undertake. now i have decided to re event my page as a showcase for all my interests in art, movies, creative journals and maybe some helpful tips in there some where.
i had my very first arts and crafts show this weekend. the weeks leading up to the event had me frazzled; i worked myself up so much ...will my stuff be good enough?...will people just laugh?...or will i have enough to fill the table?...
it turned out that i had more than i needed for one craft show...i did sell some things and the local paper took some pictures of my stuff...ill post them as soon as i see them...people did laugh but in a good way....i learned a lot from other vender's and I'll be better prepared for next year...or the next show which ever comes first...
more to come...pictures and blogs just check back often and leave comments or email me with any questions or helpful tips...
