Voodoo pixies and hearts

i have been very busy lately. painting and creating fun little dolls i love what i do. the other day i had someone contact me as a fan! yup, you read right....a FAN they said that they followed one of my links from the paper mache resource UK site to my dollz@etsy.com and bought one of my dolls....so cool!

i made the voodoo dolls for a show in my town. here is just one of them that i have posted on Etsy.com

i wanted to try something different in regards to canvas so i painted this piece and kept it UN-stretched. i like the way it came out but i think i might have to mount it to sell it but it also is available at claraism@etsy.com

one of my favorite artists of all time would have to be Frida Kahlo, her work as was she had such emotional power. her work speaks to me.....deep down i feel a connection to her. the painting here depicts a woman who is not in control of her heart as this man holds it but wont acknowledge her pain, and desire to be with him.
