Soda pop Flowers

Recycled plastic Flowers

These rich colored Abstract Flowers are hand cut and hand painted by me. They are made from Soda pop bottles and plastic packaging. No two are quite the same, due to the melting process! The centers are random beads, crystals, buttons, or recycled jewelry.

The sizes of the flowers may vary but are approximately 3 inches for the large and 2 inches for the small ones.

This post is for three (3) Flowers you may mix and match sizes and color to fit your projects. Private message me if you have and questions and/or requests for large quantities. check my Etsy store at Claraism.etsy.com

I’ll be adding more colors soon.

52 pages page 1

This 52 page project by Darcy (http://art-and-sole.blogspot.com/p/52-pages.html) via Wild Precious couldn’t have come to me at a most perfect time. I have a milestone birthday coming up next month; I’m hoping for greatness with this coming year.  The first page is Regenerate, How appropriate! With family close by signing that all too familiar song that means presents to a 5 year old and freedom to an 18 year old and an accomplishment to an 80 year old; to me it means a new beginning. With my eyes closed I’ll blow my candles out and inhale a new breath of life forever changed.
The back ground has; not unlike my life many layers some thick with emotion and others playful and light. I did an ink sketch representing myself with my Birthday cake. I decided to keep the sketch black and white because I’m ready to be filled with whatever comes with the New Year. I attached a pocket that holds a tag which I wrote several of my goals for the coming year.

Hope you all enjoy

Clara

I'm falling behind

So this blog post is a long time coming. So my birthday is fast approaching and I haven’t lost a ton of weight like I wanted, but then again I haven’t been moving as much as  I had hoped either. So today I went for a walk and the pain set in immediately …really? Isn’t it supposed to be like the next day or something? OMG! So it started at my feet and I honestly knew that I would need to keep on going but then my belly started to hurt not like a belly ache but more like a muscle pull….weird.  I’m not as confident as when I started, but I’ll keep going. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Food update…I decided I really don’t want to kill any more animals….so I don’t eat anything with a face.

I posted my first vlog on youtube come check it out( user: ccbell42) and leave me a comment just say hi.

AN ARTFUL LIFE

Living an Artful Life is more than just buying art, going to galleries, or even hanging out at coffee houses; there’s more, much more. For me it’s the little things in my life that collectively create a wonderful Artful Lifestyle. I’m blessed to have a supportive family which encourages me to live artfully; so what does it mean “to live an Artful Life”?

It’s a lifestyle; a conscience decision to look at your surroundings as a canvas, the people as the mediums to paint with and your life’s journey as a great novel and you the author.

Here are a few things that will certainly invigorate your Artful life, and get you started on your journey.

Surround yourself with artful things- if you create art, hang it on your walls, fill selves, and use it, don’t just put it away in a box …show it off! Ask for your friends work as well, share it.

Proclaim your artist freedom- stop caring about what others (outsiders) think of you and how you live and remember “be who you are and say what you feel because those that mind, don’t matter and those that matter, don’t mind” Dr. Seuss. Awesome Words to live by.

Be one of a kind- break out of the ordinary and be proud to show your individuality. Wear it like a crown, and soon the world will look more like your kingdom.

Practice kindness- always have a nice word to give. Start your day with a positive thought and share it with everyone.

Pay it forward- make small art and give it away. Share your techniques with the world. Don’t worry about competition, your work is yours and no one can change or take that from you.

Most importantly ….DO IT TODAY! If only for five minutes, create something, doodle, dance, sing Live your ARTFUL LIFE!

My Birthday Wish

There is 136 days  until my next birthday and it's not just any birthday; it's my 40th the BIG 40.....so today I'm posting this as a reminder to myself on what I want to accomplish before that all important date. so without futher ado here it is...the list.

Lose weight: I’m 200 lbs and my goal weight by my Birthday is 145-150. I plan on doing 40 mins of taebo, 100 steps (stairs), as well as do my chores in 30 mins max, basically keep moving (EVERY DAY). I need to take in more water (like 8 glasses more) eat more fresh foods i.e. greens, and fruits. Have only two servings of meat a week, and reduce my caffeine intake. My focus is to change my lifestyle; to become a healthier person and live a long life.

Quit Smoking: write down the amount of cigarettes I smoke daily. Try meditation techniques, chew gum, have hard candy nearby and any other helpful resource.

Build a website: I want to have my Claraism web site up and running.

Create a book on lulu: I think it would be fun to create a book of my art and what it means to me to be on this Artful journey; Perhaps have a couple of step by step demos of some of my Art and my process.

Teach a class: I would like to teach an art class on intuition (Gut) Art; To Show women how to express themselves through Art.

Keep a v-log, blog or paper log of this journey: Not that I think anyone is going to care enough to read it daily but it’s more for me so I can look back and keep myself in check by reminding myself how hopeful I was when I started. Then why have it online? …accountability….that’s why.

My Last CupCake

My last Cupcake, it’s true my very last cupcake till my Big 40. For my Birthday I want to lose weight. I’ll be 40 this year and that’s old enough to know better and grow up and stop making excuses for my FAT! There are 136 days left. I can do this on my own without a gym and without the biggest loser. It’s my Journey and how much I’ll lose will be up to me and only me. I can’t blame anyone for the way I look today, but I can tell you that in 136 Days I’ll weigh less and do more.  Just watch me.
